Islam weaves a path of grace,
a map to guard the heart and keep the
vision bright;
It is the lowered gaze, a shield of silent
pride
and the modest dress where inner truths
reside.
These markers set a boundary deep within
the soul,
signaling to the world a life of intent.
Yet, a human fear creeps into the spirit's
house,
the trembling dread of losing this sacred
hold,
lest a moment’s frailty cast the honor of
the Deen aside
and let the hard won respect slip through
our fingers like sand.
Though shadows fall from hands that lose
their way,
the sun remains constant throughout the
passing day.
We must not let the faults of the few
define the Whole,
nor allow the critic’s tongue to eclipse
the soul's light.
It is the duty of the heart to teach and
show
the peaceful seeds we were meant to sow;
for when we walk with boundaries firm and
true,
the world finally sees the faith
and gives respect its long awaited due.
