Mawahib '26 - Celebrating Talent and Creativity

A Journey of Talent During Ramadan

As part of Ihtifal '26, the Organizing Committee introduced Mawahib '26, a series of exciting competitions designed to encourage creativity, learning, and participation among undergraduates and the wider community. The competition was launched before the beginning of Ramadan and featured three categories: Photography Competition, Mehendi Competition, and Quiz Competition. These competitions provided participants with an opportunity to showcase their talents while engaging with the spirit and values of the holy month of Ramadan.

Capturing Ramadan Through Photography

The Photography Competition invited participants to share meaningful photographs related to Ramadan and Islamic culture. Several themes were provided, including Mosque Life, Spiritual Moments, Nightscapes and Moon, Ramadan Crafts and Calligraphy, Street Foods and Markets, Nature and Spirituality, Dates and Desserts, Mosque Architecture, Waiting for Ramadan, and Symbols of Faith. Participants were required to submit their photographs through an online submission link before the given deadline. After reviewing the entries, the photographs were published on the official Facebook page of the Association of Islamic Students. The competition winner was selected based on the number of valid Facebook likes received. To ensure fairness, only likes from users who followed the AIS Facebook page were counted. Through this process, the Winner was selected.

Creativity in Every Design

The Mehendi Competition gave participants the opportunity to display their artistic skills through beautiful and creative designs. During the competition announcement, participants were provided with sample dummy hand images and competition guidelines. Competitors were allowed to create their artwork using the dummy hand templates provided through the link, as well as on dummy hands, tiles, henna practice sheets, cardboard, or any other suitable surface. Completed designs were submitted through an online link before the deadline. Following the submission period, all eligible entries were uploaded to the AIS Facebook page for public voting. Similar to the Photography Competition, winner was selected according to the number of valid likes received from followers of the page. The participant who received the highest number of valid likes was recognized as the Winner.

Testing Knowledge Through Mawahib Quiz

The Mawahib Quiz Competition added an educational and interactive element to the Ramadan. Beginning on 19th February 2026, the second day of Ramadan, quiz competitions were conducted on the odd-numbered days throughout the month. For each quiz, participants received a Google Form link through the competition post. After accessing the form, they were required to read a short article and answer a set of questions based on its content. Participants who provided the correct answers in the shortest time were selected as winners. To encourage participation, winners received mobile reload prizes. A total of fifteen quiz competitions were conducted during Ramadan. The winner of each quiz was announced together with the following quiz post, while the final winner was revealed through the Mawahib Quiz Thank You post, marking the successful conclusion of the competition series.

A Celebration of Talent

Mawahib '26 became a platform that brought together creativity, knowledge, and community engagement throughout the month of Ramadan. From capturing meaningful moments through photography and expressing artistic talent through mehendi designs to testing knowledge through quizzes, participants actively contributed to the success of the event.

The Organizing Committee extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who participated, supported, and engaged with Mawahib '26. Their enthusiasm and encouragement helped make the competition series a memorable and rewarding experience for all.
